STAAR would like to thank you for your interest in adopting a shelter pet!  A dog or cat can make a wonderful pet and will give you many years of love and devotion.  Adopting a new pet is a serious responsibility that requires a long-term commitment.  The adoption application has been designed to evaluate potential adopters to ensure that each person who adopts a new pet is not only aware of that responsibility, but also to address the suitability and permanence of each pet placed in a home.

Click on a shelter pet below to learn more about them or click on the adopt a dog or cat button above to see the precious animals that are now available in the Seagoville Animal Shelter.

We depend solely on the kindness of others.  All donations go to help with vaccinations, spays, neuters, heartworm treatments and medical emergencies.   Please consider donating.  No amount is too small.  Thank you for your support.

Chelsea was dumped out in the country and lived by the gate to a horse farm for weeks. She had a stuffed baby that she carried around with her everywhere and was scared of everything. She has come out of her shell and is loving life now.

Chelsea is such a good girl! She is so different from the dog that came into the shelter.  Chelsea has been at the shelter too long for this GREAT dog to not be with YOU!  Seriously, Chelsea would be a fantastic companion.  She is HW negative, spayed and current on rabies shots.
